"riot, could be anywhere"

This painting was inspired by a Globe and Mail picture of the uprising in Egypt. Outside of the astounding image, what struck me was that even though it was Egypt it could have been taken anywhere; Belfast, London, Athens, LA and the list goes on. Being from Belfast I was startled at how this image brought back memories of the the 60's and 70's in Northern Ireland.
